We are delighted to have this opportunity to introduce you to Calvary Baptist Church. Moreover, we would love you to be a regular part of what God is doing here. To help you get to know us, this website should serve as an orientation to our church with the desire that you be drawn into our fellowship. Our name Calvary Baptist Church of Paradise—will best tell you who we are. First and foremost, we are about Christ! We are about His work on Calvary to save sinners like you and me.
Christ Himself is the very life of this church. We want everything in this body of believers to revolve around Him. This church is His church—Christ is recognized as the Creator of the Church, its Builder and He is proclaimed as the Lord here. He is our Savior, our Redeemer, our everything! We are a group of people who have believed upon Christ, love Christ, follow Christ, obey Christ, and serve Christ. He describes who we are—we are all about Christ!
We are a fellowship, another word for church. Fellowship means “a sharing in common” and describes our common life together in Christ. As a church family, we hold in common our Lord Jesus Christ. His spiritual life pulsates through our body. His truth and love knits our hearts together. Despite our many differences of family background, education, business, and social standing, we are one in Christ.
We are Baptists by conviction, a people who stand in a great line of others who have gone before us. This godly line of believers in Christ is traced back to the English Reformation of the sixteenth century. As with our fore-fathers, we believe in the full inspiration and authority of Scripture, salvation by grace alone, the baptism of believers only by immersion, the priesthood of believers, the eternal security of the redeemed, and more. These God-exalting truths mark our identity.
Church also describes who we are. This word—church—means, “the called out ones.” We have been called out of darkness by the power of God into the light by His Word. We have been drawn by the Holy Spirit into fellowship with Christ. We live in this world, but since our salvation, we are no longer of the world. We aren’t identified as people of this world, but pilgrims, looking ahead to a city made by the hands of God. We are the church—the called-out ones.
Calvary Baptist Church is more than a name. We are a congregation compose of those who have been redeemed by Christ, who support one another in loving fellowship, who hold to historic Baptist tenets, and who are called out of the world to be the church of God.
Is this the kind of church of which you want to be a part?

The Verse of The Week
Isaiah 46:3-4
Isaiah 46:3-4
"Listen to me, O family of Jacob, all you who are left from the family of Israel, you who have been carried from birth, you who have been supported from the time you left the womb. Even when you are old, I will take care of you, even when you have gray hair, I will carry you. I made you and I will support you; I will carry you and rescue you."
As God has promised to care for Israel, will He not also care for us, who are His children in Christ Jesus.

"The Three-fold Message of the Cross"
Message #3 - God's Righteousness
Lesson Number 7
Lewis Sperry Chafer asks the questions, “How can the righteous God deal righteously with the sinner and at the same time satisfy His own compassion and love in saving him from the doom His own righteousness must ever impose on one who commits sin?” “Can sin be righteously treated as sin and still a way be provided for the salvation of the sinner?”
