The Lord Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus is the Christ, is God, the Son, is the second person of the Trinity. He is fully God and fully man, and is the promised Messiah of Israel. He is equal with the Father and the Holy Spirit in all aspects of His character, attributes,
essence, and being. He has no beginning nor end of days; having always existed. Conceived of the Holy Spirit, He took on human flesh and was born of a virgin; Mary, the betrothed wife of Joseph. Jesus lived a perfect and sinless life on earth,
revealing and doing the will of God. He was crucified, buried, and rose bodily from the grave on the third day. His substitutionary atonement on the cross is God’s only provision for the redemption of sinful humanity and the eternal security of all who are born again. He alone is the Savior for the world and the only basis for eternal salvation of those who trust in Him. He has ascended to the Father and now sits at the right hand of the Father making intercession for believers and He is the only mediator between God and humanity. Believers greatly anticipate His rapture, “His snatching out” (1 Thessalonians 4:17), of the Church, His Bride, out of this world prior to the judgements of the Tribulation Period. We believe He will physically return a second time to earth to redeem Israel, to judge mankind for sin, and to rule during His millennial kingdom.
